Unable to start game after latest update. worlds of Wonder needs to fix the software problem ASAP.

Great game. We wanted to get all the maps. We bought them, they downloaded, app loads and minimizes right away. Click on it and it opens for a second and closes to a minimized icon. Can no longer play the game. Must be an updated version of the game we can no longer run on our gen 1 iPad. :( 5Stars when it works, like it did before we purchased the maps.

the updates over the last several months have taken this app in a really bad direction losing features like local Bluetooth, etc. Since the most recent update the game will no longer even open on some of our devices. Its really a shame as, when it was working in prior versions, this was one of our favorite apps and even led to the purchase of the physical game. Cant imagine these recent versions help the brand that way. If not for the sake of the app but only the sake of the brand, Days of Wonder really should fix this. A broken iOS version of the game isnt going to encourage many to go out and buy the board game. By the way, both my wife and I wrote similarly disappointed reviews on this same version of the software shortly after it was released and took things to this much less functional level and now BOTH reviews are missing from here. Not sure whats going on there.

This update killed the game completely on my iPad. It now crashes immediately. My family loves the game and plays about once a week. This review is ONLY because it won’t load at all now, for me, so I’m shut out. Please fix it!!!!

Crashes all the time and getting worse!!!

The game is a lot of fun and deserves 5 stars. However the app is really unreliable. I cant think of another app that has so many connectivity issues on the iPad. It crashes at least once per game and lately it been closer to 10-15 times. Thats in just 1 game!! I tried contacting the developer for help but they dont offer any resolution to the constantly crashing, by no resolution I mean they dont even reply to the posts or emails. Not sure if they even know about the bugs and are doing anything to address them. For the price (I bought all of the maps) I would expect better reliability for sure. Its more buggy than free apps!!

Quits or times out every other game

This app used to be the easiest five star rating decision to make. However, the last several updates have really ruined the playing experience. No more AI’s when playing with someone on a local network. No more local bluetooth. Game play in head to head is slower and less smooth than it used to be. There is absolutely nothing in the current version that is better than the version from last year. I used to play this all the time, especially head to head with my wife. With the latest app, it’s more trouble than it’s worth. Days Of Wonder, you had it right once, please give this app some attention and get it back to where it used to be.

I used to play this game with my husband every night for hours! Then the stupid makers of this game did "upgrades" and its been pure garbage since! It never connects locally, everything changed about it, I reinstalled it 3 times and even paid for it twice and it still doesnt work! No matter what we do it wont work! How is this an upgrade?! What is wrong with them that they would change it?!?!?!

love the game. I wish they would add the new Pennsylvania map to game.

Updated: Finally made the game worthwhile again! The most recent update returned this game to the 5 star, wonderful adaptation of the board game!

I wrote two-star reviews for the previous two versions. This version is significantly improved, restoring much of the fun and playability lost since the version 2 update. Specifically, you can now choose your player color again. Card layout continues to improve. Play is snappier. We bought all the maps, and enjoy India quite a bit...Mandalas!

Latest update finally fixed local play, and allows mixing bots with humans. This is how I always used to play the old app, and now the new app works the same. THANK YOU for listening to the user complaints and fixing it!

*They listened, they fixed multiplayer, much respect to the company for listening to the people that truly love playing this game. In my original review I said I wanted to give five stars and boom there they are* The lack of computer players and playing over Bluetooth for local multiplayer is a severe letdown. Since these were both available previously its not like I am just speculating that this would make the game a lot more fun. My wife and I used to play everyday but the lack of Ai players makes it a two player game which changes some of the rules. Also playing over wifi tends to be slower, when it even finds a game, than the Bluetooth option. To whomever developed this game for days of wonder, please bring back some of these missing options. I want to give you five stars so bad.

Well, at least I can open the app now. That is an improvement over the last update. Still cant play local games. I wish I had never downloaded any of the updates. The original game worked as was really fun.

Update March 2016: ignore the folks shilling for the company, months later there are lots of bugs ... Just failed 3 times in 30 minutes. Previous release wrecked a great game. This minor update has proved even less reliable - Ill join games and it will freeze and never start, or crash during play.

Client timeout, end of file, omg?

This is an enjoyable game. However there are issues that remain unfixed from previous updates. Whenever returning to the app and attempting to start an online game, error messages occur requiring backing out to the startup screen or, more often having to manually close out the app completely and restart. Additionally when playing two player online and the other player leaves the game, similar glitches occur often requiring forfeiture of the game. Please fix!

This update restored what made this game great Im the first place. Thanks for listening.
